Before you get your PC panties in a knot:

I spent 21 years in the US Navy driving submarines, hence my chosen nickname. "Straight Board" is the last standard report given by a Chief of the Watch before the order is given to submerge the submarine. It is shorthand terminology that informs the Officer of the Deck that all hull openings are shut so he can have a high degree of confidence that once under water, he won't have the sea entering his "people tank" uninvited. We'll see where this blog goes together, but for now; "Straight Board - DIVE, DIVE"

Unlike the standard self-proclaimed "progressives," ol' Subby actually believes in the Contitution and its 1st Ammendment AS WRITTEN and RATIFIED (as opposed to the current twisting of the ACLU, 9th District Court, etc...) and will therefore NOT strike a reader's comment unless it violates the law. Even then, it may be visible for a while until I check the site, make a determination, and edit or fully remove it.
